We'll work closely with you and your builder, along with our trades, vendors, and workrooms, to create a custom home that is impeccably infused with enduring character and style.
We often hear from clients that they wished they'd hired an interior designer earlier in their custom new build journey to alleviate the stress that comes with all the design decisions that need to be made. Asha Maía Design will make that decision-making process easy by creating a comprehensive design plan that encompasses all of those detail selections from flooring, paint colors, lighting, tile and countertops, hardware, cabinetry configuration, and other finish and fixture selections. We'll then take that beautifully cohesive backdrop and create a furnishings and styling plan that perfectly pairs.
We'll be there for all of the project's key milestones to ensure the design is being carried out as intended.

The Process
Concept Development,
Design + Sourcing Phase
STEP 1
One-on-one consultation with principal designer Asha Maxey. We’ll discuss your needs, your project investment, and your dreams!
STEP 2
Make things official. You’ll sign the agreement, make your first payment, then schedule our project kick-off. At this time, we’ll also ask you to do a bit of homework by compiling a Pinterest or Houzz style inspiration board.
STEP 3
Discovery Day! If necessary and dependent on the project scope, we’ll come to your home to take measurements and photos and dive deep into understanding your personal style and taste.
STEP 4
Getting to work. This portion of the process is broken into two phases the Conceptual Design Phase and the Detailed Design Phase. Each has a specific purpose in ensuring we nail your design and expectations. Our team will begin defining the aesthetic direction, executing floor plans, layouts, and elevations, and refining your investment estimate, in addition to sourcing finishes, fixtures, fabrics, and furnishings. This is where the vision comes to life!
STEP 5
Presentation day! We’ll thoroughly present the final detailed design plan with furnishings, fabrics, finishes, and other details, and get your sign-off. We’ll execute revisions to follow, if necessary.
Construction, Execution & Finishing
Touches Phase
STEP 6
Order placement. While your new home build is in process, we will get started taking care of ordering all the furnishings, materials, and supplies you’ll need to make your home beautiful. Including the management of shipping and receiving your product to our insured, heated, professional warehouse until installation day, and troubleshooting any shipping or quality issues. Once the construction wraps, we'll be ready.
STEP 7
Trade Work. Our trusted trade partners will get to work on the installation of the final details we’ve agreed upon, such as window treatment installation, wallpaper hanging, specialty painting, etc.
STEP 8
Install Day. We’ll send you away for the day while we install all your furnishings and style the space to perfection.
STEP 9
Big reveal! You’ll come home to see the home of your dreams brought to life.
STEP 10
Final walk-through. We’ll walk through every last inch of your home with you to make sure everything looks great. Based on your feedback, we’ll resolve any punch list items.
