Business Development & Operations Specialist

About the Position:

 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and versatile professional to fill the role of Business Development and Operations Specialist at our interior design firm. This position is key in overseeing business operations, driving growth, and fostering client relationships. This role encompasses various critical responsibilities, including business operations, business development, client acquisition, onboarding, and marketing strategy development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key areas:

I. Business Development:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive growth for Asha Maía Design.

  • Build, nurture, and maintain relationships with potential clients, industry partners, publications, and other collaborators.

  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators and business development progress.

  • Conduct discovery calls with potential clients to understand their design needs and align them with our services.

  • Lead the process of securing new client contracts, managing the client acquisition journey, as well as maintaining new project pipeline.

 

II. Client Onboarding & Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact during the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition into working with Asha Maía Design.

  • Collaborate closely with the design team to define project goals and ensure they align with client expectations.

  • Lead and coordinate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition into our services.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to provide project updates and address any queries or concerns throughout the project.

 

III. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop and streamline internal processes and optimize resource allocation for seamless project execution.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure projects stay on track, on time, and on budget.

 

IV. Marketing & Brand Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market presence and attract potential clients.

  • Collaborate with the owner/principal designer to create engaging content across various platforms, including blog posts, social media, and email campaigns.

  • Analyze marketing data to refine strategies and drive lead generation.

 

V. Other Job Functions:

  • Assist the owner/principal designer in scheduling, task management, time management, and overall organizational tasks.

  • Perform administrative tasks to support client projects and the overall business.

  • Other duties as assigned to keep the business running smoothly.

  • Position is an in-office position.

  • Position includes some light physical work.

Skills/Requirements:
Must Have:
  • Proven experience in business development, client acquisition, and operations management, preferably in the interior design industry.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a track record of successful client acquisition.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing marketing strategies across diverse channels.

  • Effective management of day-to-day operations and financial acumen.

  • A proactive and self-driven attitude.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Solid understanding of MS Office, Adobe CC, and project management software (ClickUp or Asana).

  • Ability to pick up new software easily.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Responsible, flexible, accurate, and detail-oriented.

  • Friendly & engaging personality.

  • Strong research, writing, organizational, and grammar skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proven decision-making abilities.

  • Strong comfortability with working in a digital environment.

  • Reliable transportation is required, as position includes local travel.

  • Must be able to do light lifting.

  • Must be dog-friendly.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

In this position, you will work directly alongside the Owner/Principal Designer.

Commitment:

 

This is a full-time, in-office position.

 

Compensation:

 

$55,000 - $65,000 per year
