Cocktail of the Month:
The Velvet Petal
What better way to lean into February than with a drink that feels romantic, refined, and meant to be savored? Our February cocktail, The Velvet Petal, is a softly floral, gently layered sip designed for candlelit evenings and lingering conversations at home. Delicate notes of fruit and rose create an elegant base, balanced by a subtle creaminess that adds depth without heaviness. Light, aromatic, and beautifully composed, it is finished with a gentle sweetness and a lingering warmth. This is a cocktail that feels intimate and indulgent in the best way, perfect for celebrating connection, slowing down, and enjoying the quieter romance of the season.
Ingredients:
How to Make:
Makes 1 Cocktail
2 oz. Hendrick's Gin
1 1/4 oz. Lychee Juice
1/4 oz. Rose Water
1/2 oz. Orgeat (or Almond Milk)
1/4 oz. Simple
Garnish:
Dried Rose Petals
In a chilled cocktail shaker, combine the Hendrick’s Gin, lychee juice, orgeat (or almond milk), and rose water. Add ice and shake vigorously until the mixture is well-chilled and slightly silky.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass. If you prefer your Velvet Petal as a slightly sweeter, more dessert-style drink, add up to 1/2 ounce of simple syrup to taste, stirring gently to integrate without diluting the texture.
Garnish with a light sprinkle of dried rose petals for an inviting, aromatic finish.
