Cocktail of the Month:
Grapefruit Paloma
The Grapefruit Paloma is summer’s farewell kiss, ushering in the warm embrace of fall with a blend of refreshing citrus and smooth tequila. This cocktail is the perfect companion for those late summer afternoons that slowly fade into crisp autumn evenings. With the tartness of grapefruit juice balanced by a touch of simple syrup and a hint of lime, it captures the essence of the season's transition. A splash of grapefruit soda adds a bubbly finish, making it the ideal drink to say goodbye to summer while welcoming the cozy charm of fall.
Ingredients:
How to Make:
Makes 1 Cocktail
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
2 oz. Grapefruit Soda (We use GuS's Star Ruby Grapefruit Soda)
Ice Cubes
Garnish: Sugar, Taijin, Grapefruit Slices & Thyme
To make this refreshing Grapefruit Paloma, start by preparing your glass. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass to moisten it. On a small plate, mix equal parts sugar and Tajín seasoning. Gently dip the rim of the glass into the mixture, coating it evenly for a perfect balance of sweetness and spice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously until the mixture is well-chilled and thoroughly mixed.
Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice cubes, then strain the shaken cocktail into the glass. Top off the drink with a splash of grapefruit soda, adding a refreshing and fizzy finish.
For a garnish, add a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of thyme to the glass. This not only enhances the presentation but also adds a delightful aroma.
Serve immediately and enjoy your crisp and tangy Grapefruit Paloma!
