A Warm & Cozy Christmas

This year I really wanted warm and cozy Christmas decor. My favorite Christmas decorations seem to always include the traditional Christmas colors Red, Green, White, Gold, and Silver; so this year I definitely wanted to include those while adding other elements that would also bring that cozy vibe to my space. I wanted my home to feel like it was a winter cottage nestled in a forest of beautiful snow-flocked trees. My dream is to actually one day spend Christmas in a place just like that with family and friends gathered around a roaring fire. Sooo until that happens I’m bringing that inspiration into my own home with...

Warm & Cozy Christmas Decor

In keeping with the cozy Christmas decor feel that I was going for I had to make sure to incorporate a chunky knit throw blanket and fun Christmas sweater, plaid, and buffalo check throw pillows.

I also wanted to bring in arrangements made of pine branches and holiday berries to sprinkle more greenery throughout the decor.

I couldn’t find the perfect thing to hang in the frames above the sofa, so I decided to create something on my own. I thought this really fun assortment of wireframe sketched trees worked great and I love how subtle they are while still adding to the overall look.

To add to my cozy Christmas decor, I wanted to incorporate tree bulbs with snowflake print and knit garland that reminds me of holiday sweaters. I really love the special touch that the kit garland brought to the tree. I also found the cutest plaid snowflake ornaments at Target and just could not pass them up!

I also tried something new this year by adding snow flocking to my tree. I’m in love with the way it turned out, it looks so magical and majestic. And I found the perfect beaded snowflake tree topper that ties together all the beautiful snowy elements!

There’s nothing like a roaring fireplace to set the mood for a warm and cozy Christmas! I love having a fireplace and mantel to decorate for the holidays. My mantel decor not only has the cozy element in the knit stockings, but I also wanted to bring in some rustic elements with the wooden trees and the Noel, Joy, and Happy Holidays signs. Touches of silver and gold are brought in with the vases on the hearth, the candle pillars, and the reindeer stocking hangers.

The cherry on top of this years cozy Christmas decor are these cute little tube sock snowmen! They were a fun little craft project and such a unique addition that brings a playfulness to the space. Hope you enjoyed the tour of my living room and my warm and cozy Christmas decor! Keep a lookout for an upcoming post with more images of the space where there is nothing but the glow of Christmas lights, candles, and a cozy fire.

Merry Christmas!
